Stone Cybersecurity and RMIT Vietnam’s SSC Hub Explore Trusted City Collaboration

Ho Chi Minh City, 7 October 2025 – Stone Cybersecurity met with RMIT Vietnam’s Asia Pacific Smart & Sustainable Cities Hub (SSC Hub) to explore partnership opportunities that strengthen the “trust layer” of smart and sustainable cities across ASEAN.
The meeting brought together Professor Trung Nguyen and Ms Trang Dinh from the SSC Hub with Mr JJ Sor (Country Director) and Ms Gayle Wong (Head of Marketing) from Stone Cybersecurity. Discussions focused on how digital trust and cybersecurity can serve as foundational pillars of sustainable urban innovation and citizen-centric transformation.
“As cities across Asia embrace digitalisation and AI-driven technologies, cybersecurity must underpin every layer of their development, from governance and data protection to community awareness,” said JJ Sor, Country Director at Stone Cybersecurity. “Our collaboration with RMIT Vietnam’s SSC Hub represents a step towards embedding security and trust into the DNA of tomorrow’s smart cities.”
Exploring Synergies in Cybersecurity and Smart City Development
The SSC Hub shared its regional portfolio of research, policy briefs, and engagement initiatives designed to advance smart and sustainable city practices. Stone Cybersecurity, in turn, showcased its end-to-end capabilities — including security strategy advisory, compliance support, managed SOC operations, and executive or organisational training, aimed at helping governments, enterprises and ecosystem partners strengthen their cyber resilience.

Next Steps: Building the Foundation for Trusted Cities
As a next step, the SSC Hub and Stone Cybersecurity will jointly scope executive workshops, pilot projects with city stakeholders and knowledge-sharing platforms to promote cybersecurity as an essential enabler of sustainable and inclusive city growth.
