CyberShield 2025 Draws Over 80 Business and Tech Leaders to Tackle Singapore’s Evolving Cyber Risks

CyberShield 2025, 25 June 2025

More than 80 C-suite executives, IT heads, and business owners gathered at the inaugural CyberShield 2025 seminar, co-organised by Stone Cybersecurity and the Singapore National Employers Federation (SNEF).

With the theme “Cyber Threats Are Closer Than You Think – Protecting Profits & Reputation,” the event delivered actionable insights into today’s most pressing cyber challenges and practical strategies for building business resilience.

The seminar featured expert-led discussions, live demonstrations, and real-world case studies tailored to help business leaders make cybersecurity a strategic priority.

Key Topics Covered:

  • Top attack vectors and risk blind spots faced by SMEs in regulated sectors (JJ Sor, Stone Cybersecurity)
  • How to justify cybersecurity spend to the board and align security with innovation (Barnaby Grosvenor, Dentsu)
  • Building digital trust through demonstrable governance and addressing overlooked compliance gaps (Mona Bajani, BSI)
  • Futureproofing against AI, hybrid work, and quantum risks, and closing the cyber talent gap through academia-industry collaboration (John Yong, SIT)
  • Actionable takeaways for both C-suite leaders and IT heads to improve cyber posture immediately

Moderated by Stephen Yee, Assistant CEO of SNEF, the discussion emphasised that cybersecurity is no longer a siloed IT issue — it’s a board-level imperative that affects every part of the business, from reputation and operations to customer trust and financial resilience.

The session closed with practical advice from all panelists, encouraging business leaders to take small but decisive steps starting today, such as reviewing incident response playbooks, investing in employee awareness training, and embedding cyber risk into strategic planning.

“CyberShield 2025 demonstrated that strong cyber resilience is achievable — not just for large enterprises but also for SMEs. It starts with awareness, backed by the right tools, partners and mindset,” said JJ Sor, Director of Stone Cybersecurity.

“Cyber threats don’t just target systems — they threaten trust, profits, and reputation. Protection is no longer optional for businesses.” said Stephen Yee, Assistant Chief Executive of Singapore National Employers Federation
